Successful Installation of SCHRÖDER IMAX 630 CU Injector for QSR Poultry Processing

As part of a past installation, DFS Process Solutions successfully commissioned a SCHRÖDER IMAX 630 CU belt injector at a customer’s poultry processing facility in Africa.

Alongside the installation of a QSR cut-up system, this powerful injector completes a fully integrated solution tailored specifically for the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) market. The global Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) market is experiencing exponential growth driven by changing consumer habits and lifestyle. Poultry meat is expected to be a major part of this market growth in Southern Africa. To capitalise on this fast-growing trend and fulfil the demands of the QSR market, poultry processors need advanced automated cut-up systems combined with precise injection technology that ensures consistent seasoning, improved yield, and superior product quality.

The IMAX 630 CU injector offers:

  • Hollow-needle technology with up to 900 needles for optimal brine distribution
  • Belt conveyor system for continuous product transport during injection
  • Adjustable feed advance to tailor injection to product size and throughput
  • Hygienic stainless-steel construction designed for easy cleaning and maintenance

Installed directly after the cut-up line, the 630 CU ensures each portion receives consistent brining — ideal for processors servicing major QSR chains where taste, consistency, and throughput are non-negotiable. The injector was successfully commissioned and met the customers performance expectations, delivering uniform brine distribution and maintaining throughput targets critical to high-volume QSR supply. Its hygienic design also ensured compliance with stringent food safety standards.

Based on the successful outcome of this installation, the same model has since been deployed at a second site in Natal, South Africa, where it continues to perform reliably under similar processing conditions.
